British label Etre makes the kind of timeless, quality pieces that are meant to be worn for a lifetime. Each piece in Etre’s Fall/Winter offering is crafted in the British Isles and draws from the tradition and expertise of local craftspeople and locally-sourced materials — Melton wool manufactured by a 150-year-old family business in West Yorkshire, or leather gloves made by a family-run outfit since 1944. For Fall/Winter 2012, Etre looked to “the understated but characterful traditions of British workwear” as a foundation for their designs. Especially noteworthy are the touchscreen friendly gloves.
