We realize that riding boots are a bit of a reach for most inner-city dwellers, but we figure if miniature men that spank horses for a living can make them look cool, why can’t you too? Riding boots have all of the qualities we look for in a boot: dark leather, tall/slim silhouette, subtle textures. Sure, they’re a bit of a risk, but with the right outfit, a pair of riding boots will keep your style one freeze-frame ahead of the competition.

Outfit One: Wow, what an inspiration. This gentleman even had the foresight to take a close-up shot of his boots for the cyber-gawker in all of us. The key here, as usual, is ensuring that the piece draws just the right amount of attention. After taking in this man’s beautiful jacket, you’d be hard-pressed not to make your way down to his feet, where you’ll be delighted to find another stellar piece that may not have caught your eye had the outfit not grabbed you to begin with.

Outfit Two: The shadows make it had to tell exactly what’s going on with this outfit, but that’s okay. Subtlety is key and with this lighting, you might even think that this man is wearing shoes. Upon further exploration, however, you’ll notice a hint of texture halfway up to the knee and be pleasantly surprised that he is in-fact wearing a riding boot. GiddyUp!
