With last year’s glamorous heroes, like the infamous Don Draper and Lyle Lodwick, this year has some pretty high standards to live up to. Where you draw your inspiration from changes everything. There isn’t one look that is cool or fashionable; any look can be executed properly and be a smashing success. While ladies turn to Marilyn or Madonna, guys should consider Belmondo. He starred in countless Godard films and wooed audiences with his rogue-ish, French style.
Outfit 1:
In every movie he starred in, I’m pretty sure he broke the law at least once. With a (rather large) cigarette at every turn, he soaks in bubble baths, steals cars, zips around Paris on a motorcycle, swindles vacationers, and even kills a few. Furthermore, he does all this in a button-up shirt and, often enough, blazer. Since living in France occasions warmer weather, you’ll find it’s mostly light blue, beige, white clothes he sticks to.
Outfit 2:
When attitude is 90% of whatever you’re wearing, his fout-le-camp mannerisms help tremendously. His characters are always reading but his sensual side shows itself just often enough to seduce the female lead. Girls always go for the jerks, right? Because their sweet side is like honey.
