Connoisseurs of the French-made Remy Martin cognac will revel in the knowledge that the legendary liquor will be available in a limited edition Louis XIII Rare Cask. Tapped from a single cask, the first time in the history of Louis XIII, cellar master Pierrette Trichet has created a spirit of the highest standards that comes bottled in an updated version of the iconic Louis XIII decanter. The new decanter, hand-crafted in black crystal by French house Baccarat, required more than 50 operations by some 20 artisans and comes encased in a coffret forged in metal. Adding to the luster of the crystal, the coffret features mirrors and internal lighting and a metal clasp to hold the decanter in place. With only 786 bottles being made available worldwide, there’s a slim chance any of us will even get to see let alone taste this fine cognac.
