Designer Richard Gray has created an elegant book commemorating the typographic experiments of Sir Cyril Burt; giving it the title ‘Positive/Negative’ as a nod to the process of type-setting and the aesthetic themes it generates. The book, which is halved into positive, as well as negative sections, features a crisp grayscale color theme that compliments its content without competing with it. As much artistic as it is informational, Gray’s ‘Positive/Negative’ beautifully presents the nuances of typesetting that are too often overlooked.
