Foodoro is a great website for all the foodies out there, offering gourmet and artisan foods from all different parts of the world. All men are foodies to some extent, it’s just a natural extension of man’s obsessive nature. Get any guy talking about his favorite food, be it Kobe beef, Maine lobster, or Salvadorian coffee beans, and he just won’t shut up about it. But men who don’t live near specialized markets and delis can find it difficult to get their hands on their favorite foods. For those men, there’s Foodoro.
A site for artisan food-makers and their customers, Foodoro is set up on a marketplace system, similar to Etsy, with each food-maker given their own storefront. There’s a wide selection of products from Californian olives to tea leaves from Fuji, with directories sorted by origin and food type. Foodies can now taste regional specialties from all across the United States in the privacy of their own homes. Empires have historically prided themselves on the diverse origins of the food they ate – take a cue from their playbook and have a New York bagel for breakfast with cream cheese from Wisconsin and smoked salmon from Alaska.
