The supreme pinnacle of men’s style is the suit, and it’s something I often hear men moaning about. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, and never enough for them to feel comfortable in. Well those are nothing more than the telltale signs of wearing a suit out of season. There are winter suits, and there are summer suits, and this week, let’s just see how men can manage a sharp two-piece in the summer heat.
Outfit 1: Go for the classic summer choice of a closely tailored, crisp wool suit. The warm weather and subsequent omission of the usual overcoat makes the blazer your outer layer. Operate with this in mind, picking bold, bright colors for your shirt and tie combo. Though the choice of the full suit may cause you some trouble on hotter days, a well cut, well measured suit will serve you well on windy summer afternoons.
Outfit 2: For a more youthful spin, this gent has gone with an oversize suit overtop a plain white t-shirt. A versatile choice, the oversize suit gives his body room to breathe, as well as freedom of movement when paired with the t-shirt. A more ambitious choice, remember that if you choose to go with this route, you’ll need a suit as sharp as this boy’s – and a healthy dose of chutzpah wouldn’t hurt either.
