The stitching is fine quality, but nothing fancy – and that’s the appeal. A man’s wallet isn’t a purse – it shouldn’t be soft leather, it shouldn’t be covered in skulls or roses, or patterns, and it shouldn’t break on you in a year or two. We all know saddleback makes quality items. But their thick leather isn’t suited for this wallet. They have major issues with this specific wallet cracking credit cards. Don’t believe me ask on the facebook fan page. The claim to have fixed the issue but it keeps coming up. The leather is just to thick no way around it. Someone brought it up before and they claimed it was fixed and the issue was due to the way some people carry the wallet. Yeah the way most people carry it is in your back pocket. They never admit to when they are wrong and will blame it on the customer. Apparently we all should know that this wallet isn’t made to carried in your back pocket if so be warned.
I just ordered this wallet and hope it meets my expectations. My old Perry Elis wallet is falling apart after about 4 yrs. It’s interesting I’ve had credit cards break in the PE wallet also. I could never figure out why, but now that its been mentioned with the SBL wallet it could very well be how the wallet is placed in the back pocket. I’ll have to see when I receive the wallet.

I’m still using the sample that Saddleback sent over waay back when. It’s pretty tough. I don’t know what to tell you in the way of long term durability though. Talk to you in four years?
