Following the successful release of Brain Wilson’s remake of Smile a few years ago, a box set of the original 1966-67 sessions is primed to hit shelves November 1.
In what is arguably the bands finest work, The complete Smile sessions will be dropping in a variety limited sets, at several price points. Consisting of a couple of books, a t-shirt, session Cds, LPs, 7 inches, and other paraphernalia, buyers have a chance order not only the basic box at $39, but a more elaborate version with a “light up box” for $599 and an even more exclusive version for $5999, which includes a full sized classic Hobie surfboard. (Only 10 of the surfboard sets will be made world wide.)
