DENHAM have taken their Nautilus jacket that was first introduced in spring 2011 and have upped the ante by offering the same jacket in Loden wool for autumn. For those of you unfamiliar with the style, it features some very unique details like having totally removable cowl of the jacket. This is made possible thanks to the stitched tape reinforcements within the construction, which hide the break-point between the hood and shoulder mantel. The under-construction revealed beneath is modelled after a simple Royal Navy dress tunic. The effect of the detachable cowl referenced back to naval flash gear, cowling used to protect the heads, faces and shoulders of torpedo crews. It also owes some creative debt to deep sea suits (including the one GI Joe used to wear, with the detachable cowl/ helmet).
