Never ceasing to amaze, famed designer Junya Watanabe has garnered quite the fan following with his signature themed lines for Japanese fashion house Comme de Garcons. These patchwork button ups are the first pieces to be released from Watanabe’s Spring/Summer 2012 line. Following the gardener theme seen during the collection’s official unveiling late last year, these pieces are an amalgamation of fibres ranging from denim to chambray, all asymmetrically stitched to showcase Junya’s green thumb.
In addition to three button ups, three accompanying t-shirts have also been released, each displaying a similar patchwork design. Although, Watanabe’s rural inspiration is somewhat atypical within the world of trending fashion, we look forward to seeing what the rest of the retail line has to offer within the next few months.
