The Y-3 Autumn/Winter 2014-15 communication campaign, shot by Cedric Buchet with creative direction by Lloyd & Co, visualizes Y-3’s examination of superhero vision for the season with two main characters: the hero and the villain.

The core of the campaign focuses on graphic color, daring patterns, and an illustrative palette, all adopted from the theme of Japanese Manga, a source of inspiration for Y-3’s graphic and bold Autumn/Winter 2014-15 collection. The vivid primary color codes borrowed from the looks — along with halftone pattern treatments — stem directly from this comic book inspired theme. Line screen dot treatments applied over campaign imagery seamlessly blend in and out over the characters, giving the sensation that our two opponents could leap out of the artwork and into reality at any moment.

Swiss watchmaker Breitling has released this new limited edition timepiece, called the ‘Super Avenger’. Designed to stand up to the rigors of professional military use, this watch features a 48mm black-anodized steel case that is water-resistant down to 1,000 ft and features textured pushers and crown for use in even the most inclimate conditions. The chronograph features three sub-dials for timing purposes as well as a date function. Limited to just 500 pieces, the ‘Super Avenger’ military watch is available at select Breitling boutiques.

Conceived and produced by the award-winning creative agency Flickering Wall, ‘Denham Psycho’ is a short film tribute to the controversial cult-classic originally premiered at Sundance in 2000.

According to longtime fan of Easton Ellis’ American Psycho, director Hugo Keijzer explains; “-when I first heard Jason Denham talk about jeans it reminded me of the film’s legendary business-card scene. I recognized the same manic attention to detail and ravenous appetite for craftsmanship. This triggered the idea for a modern-day remake of the scene”.

The team at Denham has a reputation for producing all their creative projects in-house but, as Jason Denham explains; “For us Flickering Wall’s proposal perfectly reflected the compulsive ‘otaku’ culture that tends to characterize the inner core of the denim scene. We were confident it would make a brilliant parody of fashion in general and the recent ‘heritage’ trend in particular. -Plus, it reminds us to keep having fun and not to take ourselves too seriously,”
