Having perfected their Garment Dying process long ago, Stone Island now seek to apply it to a range of innovative fabrics, creating a unique finish and previously unreachable shades of color. The nylon shell of the Garment Dyed Shirt Jacket achieves a particularly interesting color glow when put through this process and in order to withstand the dying its genuine down stuffing has been treated and directly injected into the jacket. Evident of the lengths which Stone Island go to to create their innovative fabrics, a special agent is added through dying process which produces an anti-drop finish and helps create its distinctive aesthetic.

The Solo-R 4 Hooded Jacket exemplifies Stone Island’s innovative approach to materials, refusing to compromise and constantly striving to offer greater protection from the elements through the use of technically advanced fabrics. Constructed from 100% Nylon, this hardshell fabric jacket offers unparalleled protection from windchill, resistance from water and yet remains breathable. The whole jacket then undergoes SI’s time tested garment dying process, creating a vibrancy of colour which is hard to find in most performance fabrics.

Italian shoemaker Diemme has collaborated with Stone Island on this fantastic boot for Fall/Winter 2012. Available in either the brown or blue colorways pictured, each iconic boot features a premium suede upper, Vibram sole and Stone Island logo patch on the tongue and heel. The Stone Island Project produced a Component Blazer which combines both a formal and casual apparel. composed of two jackets in one, the outer vest is weatherproofed through the use of the NYCO-R fabric and a custom made 2-ply material. The inside jacket is made of JERSEY-R fabric with a 3-ply composite shell giving excellent wind and water protection.
