Nom de Guerre Fall 2009 Lookbook 1

New York fashion collective Nom de Guerre has made its fall 2009 lookbook, featuring photography by Erik Swain, public. The young group has been creating a lot of buzz, moving from the pages of Nylon to GQ and Elle in just a few years. Where many smaller underground labels never take off, Nom de Guerre’s origins as a retailer, meant that it was uniquely positioned to gain knowledge crucial for success. This lookbook draws inspiration from the military, and early arctic expeditions by explorers like Shackleton and Scott, with clean lines, high-breasted naval peacoats, and heavy sweaters.
