In honor to Chicago’s street photographer Vivian Maier, John Maloof took some time and created a Blog which features a huge collection of Vivian’s artworks from the 1950s to 1970s. Vivian was born February 1st, 1926 in France and passed away on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009.

    i love black and white photos. they really put an emphasis on the details of the picture by keeping colors out, which can be distracting and distorting.

    this is an amazing story and anyone reading this should come to the opening in chicago for the first exhibition of her work, at the chicago cultural center in january.

    Please..I must know if you have any information on the picture of the guy with the kitten. I swear that is my uncle, but it would have to have been NY, not Chicago. Is that possible?

    i love it. i just in love wit photography. but when i see some of this vivian’s photo, its make me crazy to see all of her thousand collection. is that all her negative been printed? if yes, where can i get to see?
