Though the brand of Pendleton Woolen Mills is known the world-over for their superior textiles, their new offshoot label “Thomas Kay” is likely not. Based on the founder of Pendleton Woolen Mills who arrived in Oregon in 1863, the Thomas Kay brand will reach out into limited edition accessories and homewares. To help with the initiative, New York’s Joya contributes three fragrances; “Cedar & Suede” (with notes of musk, saddle leather, damask rose, redwood chips and cedar leaf), “Wood Smoke” (with notes of Texas cedarwood, incense, birch tar, cade, thyme and vetiver) and “Mission Chai” (with notes of clove bud oil, ginger, Hawaiian sandalwood and cinnamon bark). Each candle will include a woolen bag with rawhide drawstring and a custom Pendleton matchbox.
