Ben Sherman showcases its Modern Classics collection for fall / winter 2010, a selection of staples inspired by the traditional British wardrobe. Ben Sherman first started making shirts in 1963, and five decades of experience has taught the brand how to appreciate the simple things in life. A well made shirt, a warmly knit sweater, and a solidly woven twill chino. With that in mind, the line is loaded with these modern classics made to survive the cold weather season. To prove the point, Ben Sherman’s people visited the village of Kilchoan.
Situated on the Ardnamurchan penninsula, Kilchoan is the most westerly point on the British mainland, and one of the most spectacular places in the UK. The collection held up well in this distant town, and the boys from Ben Sherman fit right in, enjoying all that the hospitality that the Scots had to offer, including a trip to catch their own lunch in the gorgeous Irish Sea.
While the Ben Sherman crew is back in the offices today, prepping for spring / summer 2011, life in Kilchoan continues as it always has. The men bring in shellfish from the sea, and wear modern classics that stand up to the changing trends and seasons.
