Interior decorating can often leave men puzzled at best, and utterly confused at worst – thankfully, mydeco.com is a site that simplifies things considerably. A man’s home can say a lot about him: are you an upwardly mobile go-getter or a pizza box hiding pack-rat? In either case, mydeco.com will be immediately useful. The site sells thousands of items from dozens of retailers, ranging from beds to fireplaces, allowing you to window-shop from your browser.
Most innovative, however, is the 3-D Room Planner, a Flash application that lets you plan your room online. The planner is easy to use, and stocked with 3-D models of furniture and items directly from mydeco’s retailer database. The system lets you re-create your own living room online, decorate it, and buy all the items you’ve used in one easy process. Add a helpful user-driven community, and blog contributors who regularly offer great design advice and you have one of the best interior design resources available online.
