Interfacing – Paper Beats Internet

This week’s Interfacing is Paper Beats Internet, an artistically driven website that focuses on hand-drawn illustrations and graphics. All the images of type or art are user-submitted, and are easily identifiable as hand-rendered graphics. It’s a Flash heavy website, but very user-friendly in terms of having images placed in a grid and easily clicked on or moused over for details. The site revolves around it’s reply system. Instead of a “Like” button or comment bar, replies can only be in the form of other hand-rendered images related to that topic picture. This site is aesthetically pleasing as well as enjoyable to browse around.
