This spring and summer, it’s all about khaki’s lightweight cousin – the chino pant. Worn loosely cuffed, this casual pant is stylish, versatile and uber-comfortable. Paired with a v-neck tee for a laidback afternoon, strumming your guitar in the park, or spruced up with a blazer for wining and dining once the sun goes down, cuffed chinos will quickly become your favorite summer bottoms.
Outfit 1: Denim and chino cloth are a match made in heaven (or your closet) and pair nicely with a few accessories – straw fedora, vintage satchel, ass-kicking spectators – to create a playful take on hobo chic. Cuffed chinos are also a fantastic excuse to bust out your most coveted kicks and get creative with shoe/sock combinations, allowing you to inject some personality into your ensemble. Keep the cuffs loosely rolled for a natural, impromptu look and remember that a little asymmetry never hurt anyone.
Outfit 2: Considered “smart casual” because their texture is more reminiscent of suit trousers than their more rugged khaki counterparts, chino pants look sharp when dressed up with a suit jacket.
