Integrate some singularity into your summer look by stepping outside of your Ray-Ban and Aviator comfort zone and seek out vintage alternatives. Although the following images may initially strike the more traditional or conservative gents out there as questionable, their function is to inspire a fresh alternative to the banal norm. So grow some cojones and shake the complacent confines of stylistic normalcy for something strange and foreign that just might turn out to be the perfect fit. After all, if the eyes are our personal beacons of truth and expression, why shield them with cliche shades?
Outfit 1: Since this feature is brought to you from the beer and art garden of Mitte’s Tacheles, I deemed it fitting to showcase some wild Berlin style. Bare in mind that you don’t have to channel a creepy Steampunk Neo vibe in order to rock crazy vintage shades. The goal is to select something structurally unique (note this mysterious man’s one-of-a-kind frames) that still suits your personality and visage. The right pair of sunglasses will cultivate a sense of intrigue that sets you apart from the rest.
Outfit 2: A pair of slick urban Terminator shades are a great excuse to bust out your dopest kicks and set the standard for snappy summer style. In my humble opinion, the whole leather drop-crotch thang detracts from the futuristic cool of these wraparound shades, but to each his own, I suppose. If you’re sporting really wild shades, I’d suggest taking a tip from this dude’s monochromatic, minimalist approach.
