Fjällräven (Swedish for artic fox) has long been known for its poineering spirit and outdoor / hiking clothing, now they have a new product worth its weight in gold: Fjällräven Greenland Wax. This environmentally friendly wax impregnation was developed in-house, for clothes made from the unique G-1000® fabric; by rubbing the wax into the fabric and warming it, the surface becomes water repellent – with a thin layer of wax, G-1000 is cool, comfortable and offers maximum breathability.
This is exactly what you’d hope for and need in the backwoods, but what makes this product special is that you can add more to exposed areas and the fabric will become almost waterproof and windproof. Or if the conditions change, you can simply wash the wax out of your garment using a normal washing machine.
