New Yorkers can be thankful for the announcement by Robert Geller, that the Key Shop is now open on Rivington Street. The collaborative endeavor, in association with Greg Armas of Assembly, stemmed from conversations between the two where Geller had expressed his desire to “showcase personal favorites from his collections that weren’t picked up by stores.” The location, we’re told, was decided upon because of its central location and role the street has played in shaping New York City’s musical heritage.
The Key Shop will carry the full Robert Geller line, limited edition Robert Geller items created specifically for the shop, and the debut collection of Assembly New York. The shop is currently scheduled to operate until April 15th, 2010 and is open seven days a week from 12 to 9 pm. Furthermore Robert and Greg hope to engage shoppers by hosting a series of interactive workshops with programs that include sessions on crafting boutonnieres and creating eclectic cocktails with a local mixologist.
