We love serendipity here on Def Touch and with the shocking announcement of Ai Weiwei’s release on bail earlier today, we were so pleased to have some relevant and for once not depressing news about the famed Chinese politico.
Prior to his complications back in China, modern artist and outspoken political critic Ai Weiwei, actually lived in NYC’s lower east side through some of the Big Apples most heady days.
On between June 29 – August 14 at New York’s Asia Society Museum, a photo exhibit will feature 227 of Ai Weiwei’s collection of over 10 000 photos from this period. The bulk of the candid images, deal primarily with rioting New Yorkers and their clashes with police. Be sure to check out the work of this extremely interesting international artist.
