Barbour Wax Thornproof Dressing

As the waxed cotton jacket is now back in vogue, you’re going to need something to touch up any missing spots on your old coat. This wax, thornproof dressing by Barbour has served well for over one hundred years, so why change a winning formula? As your coat gets older, be sure to give it a new wax coating each summer. Open the can, and heat it up slowly in a double boiler. Once the wax is smooth and easy to apply, use an old t-shirt or rag to spread it evenly over your coat. Once you’re done, let the wax coat cool and harden. It’s best done on a hot summer day, so the wax won’t harden as you apply it. Available from endclothing.
