Evan Witek‘s lens this time captures the life of a legal immigrant in ‘In the Land of Dreams’, a new set by the photographer. Last week, we saw Witek’s set on illegal workers in the apple orchards of New York, but this week, we meet Muhammed ‘Zaman’ Kawrcezzaman, one of the lucky few to arrive in the US legally.
Zaman graduated from the University of Bangladesh and worked as a bank loan officer in his homeland for eight years. In 2009, he and his family emigrated to the United States. Today, Zaman works 72 hours a week, for $300 a week.
