As Fred Perry continues to emerge from the shadows and onto the runways, the British sportswear anchor has teamed up with Japan’s BEAMS on two familiar jackets. Coming out with a duffle and pea coat, we have to say, the pea coat immediately looks more like a donkey jacket sans leather shoulders. The duffle however, remains very standard with gorgeous horn finished toggles.
The standout detail on these coats, is FP’s use of their typical double stripes around the cuffs. This is directly reminiscent of Fred Perry’s iconic tipped tennis shirts. Made from Melton wool, both jackets will be available at BEAMS retailers, this September.
