On the eastern side of the Tibetan Plateau, live the Khampa people, a strong, nomadic group of people, documented by photographer Giovanni Capriotti in these stirring photographs. The people are restless, moving from one place to the next, trying to reconcile their traditions with the modern life that the communist-capitalist Beijing is bringing to the frontier. Capriotti captures some really beautiful detail in these photographs, in an area usually restricted to westerners.
