Spanish photographer Juan Ude traveled to Mozambique, and took this series of remarkable portraits. Ude was struck by the deep emotions presented on the faces of the people in this southern African nation, and does his best to document it here. With one of the highest infant mortality rates, and lowest life expectancies in the world as a backdrop, Ude captures honest life. There is no tragedy hidden in the laughter, no subtext behind each frown. This time, everything simply is.
