The Macallan is one of Scotland’s oldest and finest Scotch whisky distillers, and they’ve decided to hit the road in this new series of videos. In each video, Director of Malts Ken Grier and photographer Albert Watson takes a look at some element that goes into the Macallan. The two are out to shoot a second series for Masters of Photography, the successful series of photography themed Macallan bottles.
In this video, they visit the Iberian penninsula to see the cooperage where the barrels for The Macallan are produced. Eye opening stuff, to say the least, to see just how much labour goes into one bottle of Scotch.
