Graphic designer and photographer Ulia Krysanova was recently at a re-enactment of the Battle of Borodino. One of the costliest conflicts in the Russian fight against Napoleon, men, women and children come together yearly to re-enact this bloody day. A remarkable set, as much of our imagery of the Napoleonic era is rendered in lithographs and etchings. It’s remarkable to see the conflicts of the age come to life, in color and vibrancy.
