Wrangler Jeans does its best to shed its reputation and establish itself with a new generation in its Spring / Summer 2010 Blue Balls jeans lookbook. ‘Vintage Meets Preppy’ is the tagline for the collection which features model Tony Ward.
The shoot itself (by Petrovsky & Ramone) emphasizes the versatility of Wrangler jeans, making the jeans appealing to their usual ‘cowboy’ market as well as mature hipsters and urban professionals. From the looks of it, Wrangler is aiming itself to take a bite out of Levi’s and other prestige jeans labels which have had exclusive hold on the young professional market for a while now. Whatever the marketing result, the jeans still look good and that’s what counts.
