Bojan Janjic takes a look at Bosnian Gypsies in this remarkable set of photographs. Also known as the Roma, these people have long existed at the fringes of European society, a group of perpetual outsiders, who have never truly been welcome anywhere. A unique look at a society existing in parallel with our own, Janjic does a spectacular job showcasing these people in a plain, honest fashion.
I’ve seen better… sorry mate!
Better gypsies, or better photography?

I like this a lot. It shows the gypsy life but doesn’t make a show out of it. Great work.
It’s too easy to turn it into a gawking sort of cultural imperialism that turns them into something to be looked at through a pane of glass. I like that this tries to emphasize the human connection, as tacky as it sounds.
