In October of 2010, the city of Lyon hosted protests regarding France’s retirement laws, and Pierrick Romeuf took these photos then. Though an estimate 80% of residents of France are still ethnic France, the remainder are immigrants from around the world, making for one of the world’s most diverse populations. This protest gleans for us a unique look into the face of modern France.
