Sleekness epitomized in aluminum and silicone, the watch houses phone, text, email, and music functionality within its thin profile. To prevent frequent concerns with electronic wrist pieces, the SmartWatch 2 is designed to be both water and dust-proof. Other speculated highlights include NFC and Bluetooth 3.0 compatibility, as well as a reported 5-7 day battery life on a single charge. It’s hard to say how well the Sony SmartWatch 2 will do, the entire market has found tepid responses to products like these; only the official release in September will allow us to gauge Sony’s latest effort.
