An Afternoon With recently caught up with Terri Chiao and Deborah Grossberg Katz — founders of design and research collaborative KatzChiao — to photograph the couple’s unconventional loft space appropriately dubbed as “A Cabin in a Loft” . Once you examine the shots closely, it’s not that surprising that Chiao is an architect. The design in itself is, in a word, minimal. But it’s the few off the wall pieces that fill the space that makes it truly one of a kind. I mean, when was the last time you saw a mini wooden cabin inside a loft?
