Tenue de Nîmes takes it’s name from the southern French city of De Nimes. In fact, it is here where “denim” as we know it by name, was born. Although different from the denim of today, it was the use of cottons, wools and silk which made these work pants from De Nimes stand apart. Many years later Amsterdam boutique, Tenue de Nîmes adopted the city’s identity as a way of exemplifying their focus on jeans wear.
With their stock being known for unique and difficult finds, Tenue de Nîmes was invited to New Castle by designer Nigel Cabourn, to get a glimpse of his spring/summer 2011 line; one which focuses on bizarre fabrics and rare materials.
The new Cabourn line is in a navel theme and aptly called, The Submarine.
